I'm 14, and i wanna get a bellybuttton piercing, but i'm not that skinny. I mean, i'm not chubby, but i'm not completely flat. would it look weird?

I'm not sure about your age, I know in Australia you have to be sixteen with parents permission. But if you can I say go for it!!! I wasn't super skinny either, but I loved it!

I would recommend that you wait a few years before you do it. One reason is because those piercings can get infected easily if they are not cared for properly. They need to be aired out and kept clean - which would mean ultra low rise pants, and shorter shirts - which in schools would not be permitted.
I would wait until you were 16, or at least wait until it's summertime when you can wear anything you want for an extended period of time. Make sure you get your parents approval, too. If anything were to happen, you would have to answer to them the where, why, etc...
I am 24, and have been bouncing the idea around in my head for about 3-4 years myself. Finances re one problem right now - not that they cost a lot. But it really is a big decision.

No, it wouldn't look "weird." And really, it's about you, and how you think it looks. If it's something you want, and that will make you feel pretty, go for it! From personal experiance, I got mine after I had gained a little weight, and it made me feel a lot better about myself, even if I didn't like what was going on around my abs I still had a pretty purple jewel there. 14 is a little young- you'll have to have your parents sign a release form, probably, but what the heck...Babies get their ears pierced all the time.

I'm glad that you are being responsible and looking into it!
I'm 17 and I'm trying to decide whether or not to get my belly button pierced. Here are some things to consider:
1)it hurts like hell to get it done
2)its sore for several days
3)it hurts to have it rub up against something
4)rings are expensive
5) it can get infected very easily.
i know two girls who had major mishaps with belly rings. One girl, her belly ring went inside of her abdomen. Another girl I know had it ripped out.

i have my belly button pierced and i LOVE it. I am not that skinny either and it looks fine. Its so easy to take care of. I would totally suggest getting it! But dont go swimming right after you get it done, mine got infected that way.

I would wait until 16 and see if you still want it.
As for your stomach size, you really don't have to be skinny to have one. It shouldn't look weird unless you don't take care of it.
