I am writing a paper about the process soldiers go through once they return home from hostile places. The title I have is War Torn: War's Affects on Soldiers and Their Families. Is this good? Does anyone have a better title suggestion?

I work as an editor and writer for a small publishing company. I think you have a good title here. I'd just shift it over to this for more print appeal -- "War Torn: Combat's Impact On Returning Soldiers & Their Families.
Combat is a much stronger and more eye catching term. Also locks in that the soldiers you are talking about are specifically coming back from battle, not just overseas assignment.

How about "Return From the Trenches: The Effects of War on Soldiers and Their Families"? Your title sounds really good, but there's a suggestion for you if you want to change it.

I think it sounds great, but I'd change it around just a bit to this:
War Torn: The Effects of War on Soldiers and Their Families.
Just think it sounds better in that order. Also, you used the wrong version of "affects." In this case it should be "effects." Hope that helps!

First, you should learn your grammar. It is War's Effects
or how War Affects ....
that aside, your title is a bit trite looking at the past history of literature on this subject.
Torn by War: How Families of Soldiers cope with War's effects.

You chose a really great title! If you like it you should go with it. However for a suggestion, since you asked, Shattered Mirror: The scars of war for soldiers and their loved ones....

That's a bit boring...make it more interesting... the only thing i have right now is "War Torn Soldiers" but i don't think it's original enough
