You need your recovery disc that came with your laptop.

You can use your original Restore Disc to reinstall. Be careful to first backup the contents of your hard drive separately, before running the Restore Disc, as it will generally erase the contents of your hard drive when you do that.

Once you have reinstalled Windows Xp, you can upload whatever you need from the previously downloaded hard drive contents.

modify the bios so that it boots cdrom first. then insert your windows xp cd in the cdrom. boot up the cdrom and follow the instruction. u'll need to partition the harddrive first then format it before it starts the actual installation. good luck.
