Only if you're liberal.
Conservatives think it is wimpy to be PC and not say what you mean.

Actually, I think it's popular to be "Politically Incorrect".

It makes people think they are "edgy" and "cool".

Being too politically correct is bad. I call black people "black people". I've had many black friends, and they've always said they prefer it. I'm sure that's not how all black people, or "African Americans" feel, but I just think it's easier.

But political correctness in history has been, overall, a good thing. If it weren't for political correctness, we'd still call black people "negroes", and gay people "sodomites"... so it's a double-edged sword.

In summation, no, I don't think many people find it "popular". People always like to react against establishment, and that's why it's "cool" to reject political correctness.

I will never be politically correct or culturally sensitive either. I am a strong American and believe in our heritage.

Depends on who you are with. If your with loony lefties, it is. if you are with rational people it isn't.

If you want to be politically correct & popular, hang out in Hollywood, on college campuses & newsrooms. Anywhere else people will thing you are nuts.

with some it is... some it isn't...

depends on where you are and who you're talking too...

maybe that's why Republicans get all whiney about it... because they feel like they can't be popular and say how they feel in their heart? (most of which has almost nothing to do with "PC" and everything to do with common manners... most Republicans can't tell the difference)

Only on college campuses. In the real world it's a joke.

Not sure it is actually 'popular'....but it's the law....or someone could sue you. I personally am sick of it.

How could you have asked that question? Don't you realize that you might "offend" someone?

PC is a lie invented by the right, to justify being bigoted.
