Is it just me, or does everyone get constantly screwed by the fast food drive-thru? It seems like nearly every time I get hosed - wrong sandwiches, squished messy sandwiches, sandwiches missing half the condiments, cold fries, old fries, half-filled fries... no sour cream for the baked potato, no FORK, one ketchup... I mean, what is that? And yes, I do check the bag, but I don't want to unwrap every sandwich every time....

As a teenager, I worked at Burger King for a few years and I'll admit I made mistakes - but they were few, and made me work harder to NOT mess up.

So honestly, do perpetual mistakes only happen to my boyfriend and I? Are we completely unlucky, or do other people always suffer from drive thru errors?

* as a note, fast food is an every 2 weeks sort of treat, which generally involves grilled chicken or a salad for myself, and I share my boyfriends fries - just to clarify... I'm a fairly healthy eater otherwise.

We no longer go to fast food joints (been quite a few years now)but when we did, 99% of the time we had errors.

We have been grossed out by watching a guy chewing snoose and see it drip down his chin.

We witnessed a teen friend of the workers flash her crotch at her working friend. YES we got to her crotch as well !! yum yum what a appetizing event that was. *cough*hack*

I could go on but it makes me want to about hack up !!

Management needs to crack down on this kind of crap. Until they do, the fast food industry will basically be for those who have no problem being served by pigs and spreading food borne illnesses around.

Unlike you, I have never worked at one so I don;t know the inside. I can only speak from my experience as a unsatisfied customer, both eat-in and in the drive thru.

Everything you mentioned has happened and then some...

Glad I gave them up !

: )

Happy Thursday !

It is the person bagging your sandwich, which at McDonalds is usually a manager. Some of them have a few missing peices if you know what I mean. There are several different McDonalds here where I live, but owned all by the same person. Some of them are so bad, you never get the right food. I don't order fast food, but I do call in my prescriptions every month, and the pharmacy I have been using is always messing up on my medication. I can ask for 7 refills, and they never give me all of them. I have to send my son back to get the rest because they didn't hand him all the bags. They should all have been in the same bag to begin with, they were ordered at the same time. Now I have to make sure he knows how many I am suppose to get, and he has to check the bag. I don't remember any of this happening until someone invented the drive-thru. LOL

Over the past 5 years since we have lived in small, wealthy towns that don't allow any fast food chains, so we have to pick it up from time to time on our way home from work or shopping. EVERY time something is left out....my husband always wants me to check the bags before I pull out of the parking lot, but I can't be bothered since I am getting food for 6 people. Always something missing and not driving back out 20 min. each way to get it corrected and we shouldn't have to...Taco Bell(and many of the Yum brands) is the worst......Wendy's is a close second.....Micky D's isn't too bad......I never get a wrong order always one or two items are missing. But what can you expect it isn't like people work there have a Doctorate degree.

Is it one particular place you go to? Or maybe it's the area... I know that if I go to the fast food places where I work I always have to check the bag. Otherwise, where I live, I don't even bother cause they always give me extra everything and almost never make mistakes.

If they do screw up though. Call and let them know even if you're not planning to go back there. Hopefully, the manager or supervisor will hear about it, and maybe the next time someone orders something, they'll get it right. In addition, if you do say you'll be back, they usually offer something in return like free fries or something to keep your patronage.

This happens to everyone it has happend to me a few times i actually open the sandwich cuz they tend to put beef when i ordered chiken. Plus they charge more for chicken than beef. I remember one day at drive thru they said "you're all set" but when i looked in the bag i saw i didnt have my chicken fries that i ordered and i paid 5 bucks for it so of course i claimed it. Seriously, once you leave the window you get what you paid for. Ask for xtra ketchup and silverware and napkins. Try not to order more than 3 meals on the drive thru if you do you're better off going inside plus don't rush yourself. im sure i'd rather go home and eat the food i ordered than go home to a meal thats not deliciously my preference.

i don't be attentive to correct to the clientele, yet as an worker, it pisses me off while somebody is presented in with a bad approach via fact their order have been given tousled on the table. Why get mad at me? I only take the order! I additionally hate it while somebody is presented in and acts like McDonald's is a activity everyone can do. Jobs like quickly foodstuff eating places, rubbish p.c.. up, and different "nasty jobs" are those that want much greater know. ultimately, I hate it while a shopper orders together as on the telephone, forgets to function something, then gets pissed. Get your *** off the telephone and tell me what the hell you like such as you have some trouble-free experience then! Sorry adult adult males, long day at artwork...my activity..and a lot of rude clientele assuming that only via fact I artwork at McDonald's, i'm no longer in college or doing something to greater advantageous my existence. BTW: McDonald's gives you a advantageous scholarship to all workers. think of two times until eventually now any of you criticize somebody for working there.

I say its cause the idiot manager is pushing the employees to fulfill the orders in such little time, like 45 seconds or less. I have seen those message boards at a Mcdonalds walk up joint inside a casino.

Nobody double checks whats inside, just shove it over to the customer.

I was fouled over Taco Bell recently. Screw Them. Got the beef instead of steak burrito they keep advertising on TV. I called them up on the receipt ph #. and told them SCREW YOU manager!

that is a great question!!! haha i thought it was just me and that i was very unlucky.... or maybe even that it was a sign i need to stop eating fast food and make my own food lol. but honestly i think it is because teenagers actually not even teenagers in the fast food business are just lazy. they seem to just want to get that order out of the way and make the line smaller so they have less to do.

It's not just you, it happens to me too. I have noticed that the order is more often right, and the sandwhiches unsmashed when I go inside to order it. Also, I always check the bag before I leave..

Not just you two. Customer service ( of all types but especially fast food ) is at an all time low I believe. Really sad.
