Simple way: Right click the drive and choose format, ntfs. Hard way: Pop in the windows disk and delete all partitions and reload the OS.

I have never done this with one hard drive, so in case back up your operating system or download Linux and burn it. So open "My Computer" and right-click your hard drive (usually "C:") and click format. I don't believe the operating system reloads itself because I had two hard drives and when I did it with one every thing was cleared, even the o/s. So yeah, BIG RISK unless you download Linux which is free and way more efficient than windows. Windows is actually inferior in my opinion.
