My long-time favorite books are The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. I'm not sure I can tell you how many times I've read them. My best guess is 'several'. I also like The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks, and I have read that probably 3 times. I guess they're my favorites because I'm a sucker for the 'good-guy underdog vs really powerful evil bad-guy' type books. And I love all that fantasy stuff......wizards and magic, elves, dwarves, and so on. Mostly though, there are just too many books that I want toe read to spend too much time re-reading, even though there are some that I would like to read again. Sigh........so many books, so little time!

I'm not sure if a teenager would read it or not, but one of my favorites is "Why Not Me?: The Making and Unmaking of the Franken Presidency." It's a pretty funny book by Al Franken about how he would go about getting elected to the presidency and what he would do once in office. It's a good one for all humor fans. I've read it once completely through, and every once in a while I'll skim the pages.

Book: Sweep Series
Author: Cate Tiernan

A coming of age story that ended way too soon. I was a teenager when this book came out, and the story was a journel-like story of a girl discovering her inner self.

She published her first book at 14, since I'm a writer, I found it inspiring.

----

----
