People with certain ideologies like to be around others that think and act the same.

Switzerland , a very liberal country :-)
high employment rate 96 %
cheap health care for everybody !!!!
very low abortion rate , even if it is liberal handled
no war !
I would say it is a nice peaceful country ( I have friends there ) Maybe it is not perfect, but we all are human and we all are not perfect.
EDIT : It is a tax paradise ;-)

There was actually a study released last month that indicated children's health factors according to red/blue state analysis. Blue states tended to be the safest for kids.
