Yes, absolutely. Bottled water doesn't have the chemicals in it that tap water does. If you try to put tap water into your fish tank you run a very real risk of killing your fish!!

I once had a Beta Fish (commonly known as the Chinese Fighter Fish) that i put in some Arrowhead water, and he ended up getting an eye infection. I was told that there are certain minerals in tap water that are filtered out in bottled water, so tap water is definetly best.

Bottled water is better because it's purified. Putting it in tap water can only kill it (approximately 1-2 weeks later). And Dasani's good but i would suggest Sparkletts because it's cheaper and cleaner for a better price!

yes but bottled water can still be undeclorinated if you open the bottle let it sit for a couple of hours and it has bubbles all over like soda it has chlorine. I think dasani has chlorine but I think ice mountain doesn't. If u try, use the technique.

I think it would be more economical if you used tap water. I've had fish all my life and they've always been fine with it. Do you have a tank with a filter? If so, the water still has to become ecologically established with proper nitrogen levels for them to be fully adapted to it. good luck.

I have 3 tanks. Ihave a 55gal., a 45gal.,& a 10gal. I use canton city tap water to add water with total sucess. But if I have to add more than a few gallons to them I always use the decolorenation drops.

That won't make much difference. If you wan't the goldfish to live for a long time, you have to make sure that ammonia levels are not too high in the bowl, and make sure that it is clean. You don't want too much algea to build up.

It doesn't make much difference except the nutrients in the water I guess. If you live somewhere with bad tap water, your goldfish may die.

I don't see how that would make much of a difference. I think that changing the water frequently and keeping the bowl clean are much more important.
