I see that there is still some racism here on Yahoo!. I dont want someone calling me a cracker or honky. I know blacks would not us to use negative words. Same goes for any other race on this planet. Please stop counting just slavery, dont forget that they were still not given the same rights as any other citizen. All due to the way their hair and skin had to be changed to adapt to their old surrondings. I find it foolish that grown people do this crap. In the it wasn't till the end of the 60's that they gained the rights as you and me. Stop asking questions like "why are blacks dumb?" and so on.I The same goes for blacks. Not all white people are against you. You are not our slaves nor are we holding you back. Do what you can now. Every one will proably will meet some one that will down you, but just be humble. am not saying go and befriend someone of a diffrent race. I know you can't get along with every one. All I am saying is repect every human just as you would respect yourself.

Thank you for your question, I agee with you. Some of the comments made on this site angers me but I try not repond in anger, even though I am not always sucessful. Racism, no matter who is doing it, does not help solve the problems that we are dealing with everyday. We all have to respect one another and move forward, not backwards. I would suggest anyone before making judgement on a race of people, religions or styles of life that they spend some time getting to know various people from that group. Nothing is like building a relationship with someone of a different culture and finding out that you have more in common than not having anything in common.

OK so stop with the crying damn you were not even the one sold into slavery by some Arab (sorry i know its hard to admit that) any way its a fact the Irish were treated far worse than a slave in fact the first slave in America was white, its another fact Irish workers helped bring an end to slavery as it was far cheaper to pay an Irishmen a penny a day than to feed and house a slave. I am so freaking tired of this crying oh i am oppressed s hi t. the Irish face ethnic and religious bigotry in America now you cant tell them apart and the have been a success and a boon to America not a complain bane to America
