ok i would ask what kind of mexican party cause their are the rancheros then you should where something like old style what they use to wear in mexico ,but if this is a party to dance and have fun then i suggest a skirt if its hot and some grreen with red and white i say a black mini with a green jacket and red and sort of white shirt.don't forget to feel comfortable so when you dance you don't want your jeans to fall cause their huge or rip.good luck

Well, you could do a female version of a guayabera--those button-up shirts that have pockets at the chest and at the bottom hem. They also usually have pleats and/or embroidery.

Embroidery's pretty popular in Mexico, especially among traditional people (like little old grannies) and the various tribes of indigenous people. Try one with a square neck and embroidery around it, and a prairie skirt or one with tiers. Wear some sandals, like huaraches (woven leather sandals) or even plastic sandals like shower shoes. Okabashi--check for them at your local drugstore.

But when I was in Mexico, in the Yucatan Peninsula, people mainly wore stuff like in Miami. A lot of people fly over to Miami for the day or so to go on shopping trips, and they're super-stylish. I felt like such a style slob when I was there. They dress UP, man! So dress like you're from Miami, and you're good to go.

A pair of khaki pants with a guyabera shirt and cowboy boots or huaraches. If you want to be less formal wear a Corona beer Tee Shirt.

Peasant skirts and a off the shoulder peasant blouse , and a sun hat . ( or put a flower on the side of your ear)
