No, a person cannot be PROGRAMMED. But 50 words per minute isn't that fast, I can type 188.

As far as the rudiments of anything, some people are more savant like, such as when I was taught to read at the age of three, I got the point and there was no reason for me to attend school to colour in the lies if you catch my drift....yes the rudiments can be taught and some people catch on really fast. by 11 i was reading 2200 words per minute and by 12 i was Reading appx 2400 word per minute....that is 8 books per day......now i use to type until i broke my finger and split the tendons, as fast as anyone could speak with very little error, perfect dictation!!! Your point is well taken, but the usage of the word programmed, is tho insightful I believe not quite the same as 'teachable'...as some are more right brained than left.....using an alpha numeric system with which to learn anything increases the ability and defies a lack of confidence....pretty cool huh? Training is VERY important, and case by case the person in question may have had the rudiments, thee goes that word again, and the agility to learn and be strong and get the point a lot faster than anyone else, but i would not look at being a black belt in two weeks, however more amazing things have happened than I will ever know....but this is my story and I wish you the best. good question by the way!

I know that most jobs I see open for clerical work ask for a minimum of 35 wpm and that was the requirement in college. However, having worked as a legal secretary and now working as an office manager, I would recommend that you be able to type at the very least 55 wpm. I, personally, type aproximately 80-90 wpm, but I've also been in jobs where I had to type for nearly 7 years. Just practice, practice, practice.

No, a person can not be 'programmed' to do anything well without practice or training. I can 'type' 120wpm but my step-father told me I HAD to take typing. I thank him for that every day of my life, even though he's 'not around' to hear me. If you really want to 'do something well' the time it takes to get the training and do the practice should be fun, and eventually profitable in some way.

Only if, we´re all really living in the Matrix and also aware of it.

Remember, if you wanna start programming yourself to have new capabilities, just start by saying this until you´ve completely convinced yourself: "There is no spoon".

lol. =)

Your answer for both questions is no. Programming is training, with no programming you have no training.
