i took my wife to obgyn and the doctor performing the exam was a male.

i was aware of this fact before but, i had no idea just how much shock i were to get!

i mean the moment the male doctor told my wife to pull down her underpants, i was literally ready to punch him in the face!

i mean, i saw the way he fingered my wife and i am still traumatized from what ive saw...

are there any males out there who had similar experience?

am i the only one whose heart is literally ripping over this?

is what im feeling normal?

btw, it was just him, me, and my wife. no one else.
so, that brings me to another question. is it LEGAL for a male obgyn to be alone with a female patient while he is digging her you know what?

First of all, the doctor didn't "finger" your wife. He was doing a physical palpitation of her reproductive organs to check for cysts, tumors etc. Stop being so melodramatic!

Next, you're also not quite truthful when you said that the doctor told her to "drop her panties." A doctor will employ the height of professionalism and discretion and leave the room while the woman undresses.

My husband was present at EVERY single obstetric appointment and he never once felt the least bit weird about the fact that the doctor delivering our child was male.

Moral of the story: I think you're and egocentric freak AND you're full of crap.

Why do you think a male doctor is not allowed in the room alone with the woman, could it be because male doctors in the past have stepped over the line?

I do not appreciate it when women in this particular topic resort to name calling and insults. Women want (at least they say they do) their men to be sensitive. I ll tell you what there is no topic I am more sensitive about than my wife being viewed by another man (the lab coat and the degree do nothing to alter his natural responses, and they do nothing to alter my natural responses) I will admit this, Male doctors while experiencing these natural responses also know how to hide, disguise and work through them.

The argument about how these male docs see so many blah blah blah is crap. It is BS. I work with air conditioning equipment every single day, tell you what when I see a nice piece of equipment I appreciate it. Also, perverts that spend hours viewing porn can t get enough, in fact they NEED more and more to keep themselves aroused.

Men, men with and without lab coats should not be looking up ladies skirts (so to speak). If you ask just about any man, he would love to just sit between a woman s legs admiring the view, and then gently move the folds around for as long as he would like to do it.

Women that have been exploited do not want to admit they have been. This is in no way shape or form a sexual experience for the woman, it is one for a man, especially if he notes (many do on their charts) The patient is a __yr old attractive woman" I ve seen this on my wife s records when she ordered them. That ticked me off as much as any part of the situation.

My wife now understands my side of the coin and not only chooses to see only females, but she appreciates (asked me) me being her advocate, because a nurse advocate once stood behind the doctor and defended his lies instead of backing up the patient she is "supposed" to be protecting.

The problem here is you. You sound like a controlling husband. For your information you do need to take your underpants off in order for the doctor to perform a pelvic exam and a pap smear.
As far as there being just a doctor in the room that wasn't right there should always be a nurse present. By the way would you like your wive to be present when you are having your physical, and the doctor grabs your penis and tells you to cough, and she flips out? This is how the procedures are done and a mature person should realize that.

i know how your mind is working my friend you are not wrong in your thoughts its like your wife being sexually assaulted in your presence, usually the doctor will say please remove your clothing from the waist down but will not always leave the the room but may draw the curtains while she undresses she will then be told to lay back and draw her feet up to her bum and place the soles of her feet together thus splaying her vagina wide open and giving him a clear access to perform the bi-manual vaginal examination
if there are no stirrups attached to the exam table as there are not all ways in in the normal doctors office environment. but alas in the long run it is still a total male stranger having full permission to finger your wife with two fingers albeit it is for a medical exam if the guy did it outside his surgery he would get 10 years in prison for sexual assault but in the surgery it is legal for him to sexually assault your wife at will, the last time i took my wife the doctor he wanted to do a smear test and had the ordasity to ask me to leave the room while he did this to my wife so in affect would have left him on his own with her while he manipulated her vagina. a total stranger as we had not seen him before so to all these females whom think there is nothing wrong it is only a doctor doing his job bull shxte either you are so stupid or are totally into having a stranger a man fingering you as he see's fit. to us it is an insult watching a stranger fingering your wife because he can.
by the way to those of you who think its a doctor just doing his job how do you know whether he is doing a bi-manual examination of your vagina or just fingering you for sexual gratification for him self.my wifes ex doctor got five years and struck off for sexually fingering 9 of his female patients in 2005
just a thought for you that think he is only doing his job

As the saying goes? Why did you choose to be a OBGYN? Male response: Well if I liked animals I would have become a Veterinarian. .

Men are territorial and this male doctor was in 'your' territory. This is a common reaction and why most doctors don't like the male partner in the room during an exam. Talk to your wife and switch to a female OBGYN.

I'm a female and I would only go to a female GYN, but I doubt that your wife's doctor went through medical school so that he could get a cheap thrill. Seriously, I think you're over reacting. There are many male GYN's.

It was just an exam! It is just work to him. If you weren't there,
then a nurse would have been. Male doctors are not allowed to be in a room with a female alone.

Many OB/GYN Doctors are Male.
If you like that your wife sees only a Female, let her get an appointment with one of them next time.
Unless your are a Muslim or belong to a Society which not permit women to see a Male Doctor, there is nothing about it.
He is just doing his job.
Greetings
from Seattle
