I recently downloaded GIMP, and i got these really cool brushes and stuff, but they're way to be, and i've looked everywhere in the GIMP program to see how to resize them, does anybody know how to?

Open the 'tools options' window and (double?) click on the circular icon depicting the width of you brush.

You'll get a drop down with other sizes, that should do it.

The image you posted is the brush editor for editing vbr or parametric brushes. You don't need to use that to adjust the size of a brush. You can simply adjust the size using the tool options for the brush - there is a size slider there. When you select the brush in GIMP, the tool options should be directly under the tool box. To use the brush editor you need to have a parametric brush selected, or create your own one. Go into the brushes tab, click the little menu icon (like a little arrow) top right of the window and choose: Brushes Menu ---> New Brush. Now you can play with the sliders in the Brush editor, and make your own brush. If you don't have a parametric brush selected, all the sliders in the Brush editor will be grayed out. There are three types of brush native to GIMP 2.8 .gbr - regular GIMP brushes created from a raster image .gih - image hose created from multiple raster images .vbr - GIMP parametric brush and GIMP can also use Photoshop .abr brushes
