Your undershirt should be tucked into your underwear for security purposes. I not only tuck my undershirts into my underwear, but I tuck my outer shirts including my dress shirts inside my underwear to keep them tucked in better. My underwear does show about an inch or 2 above my pants most of the time which I like so well. I have been dressing this way since I was 21 and will continue to do so for life.

Both shirts and undershirts always went tucked in between your slacks or jeans and outside of your underwear. But, I can't see any reason why you can't tuck it in your underwear if you want. It's just another way of wearing it that doesn't seem to violate any "code" that's worth worrying about. God Bless you.

It makes a nice smooth line, good for if you're wearing really tight pants, like those ones that male skaters wear.

Otherwise, outside the underpants.
