their respective primes (favre mid 90s, Elway late 80s) who was the better Football player.
I think they are a great comparison, similar mobility, and the strongest arms in the league at the time (although, truth be told, Elway did have a stronger arm than anyone, ever).
In their primes these were probably the two most tremendous athletes ever to play the positions, fast-moving cannons who could win games almost by themselves.

I have to say they are both my favorite quarterbacks of all time. But John Elway carried his team to the superbowl more than favre did, so i am going to have to say i think John Elway was a better quarterback than Brett favre.

Good question - I have to say 95 Favre as that was those were the years he "got it". He paid his dues to Dallas and San Frandisco and put it together in 95/96 to win the big one.
Elway was still figuring it out in 1987 - sure, he was born a winner but he had not figured out how to win until the mid 90's.

I will take Favre first because his ability to not miss a game and still play at such a high level. Second of all he's been through much turmoil and survived it all, In addition he is right behind Dan Marino in most records which shows that the stats help his cause, and his team has been under .500 only once (last yrs unfortunate season)

As a Colts fan, it is Favre. Elway ditched the Colts. I can't stand him.

Second to only Dan Marino in many catagories, Favre has proven his worth time and time again.
When he stops playing, the Packers will never be the same. :(

Their the two are adorable yet i think identity say communicate..I by no skill very own any yet they seem adorable..yet not in extreme good until its a guy wearing them..autos i've got very own 2 pairs yet communicate are extra effective
