The above poster who said "not even close". Did you ever watch Steve Young play? Of course he is top 20 and maybe top 10. Steve is one of the most accurate passers in NFL history. He gave defensive coordinators nightmares trying to scheme against him. His athletic ability,scrambling and deadly accurate arm guided the 49ers to many wins including Super Bowl XXIX in which he set the record for most touchdown passes in a Super Bowl (6). But he is not top 20? Give me a break...

I would consider him top 20. It's pretty hard to accurately rate his career being that he played in the shadow during and the years following Joe Montana. I think his full potential was never truly reached because of that. Now perhaps if he had played for a similar style passing team, he would have easily made it into the top 10 if not top 5.

Top 20 at least there have been some GREAT QB's in NFL history including Lefty but Marino Elway Favre are all better than Steve. GO BEARS!X999999999999999999999999999999999

Young is a top-10. Very accurate, good athlete, spent much of his prime on the bench or playing for a bad Tampa Bay team. When he played, he was brilliant, he just didnt play long enough nor have enough big-game (one super bowl and a lot of playoff losses) success to be top-5.

Top 10 for sure. Has great stats. I think he's better than Montana. Joe had better teams around him!! Imagine if Young never played for Tampa Bay?? You got the picture you Montana Fans????
