Have you been on a bus lately? Even the D.C. Metro has turned into a trash heap since they stopped enforcing the no eating law. One of the reasons I work hard enough to own a car is to not have to ride around in filth. But I live in Montgomery County, Maryland right next to D.C. (two VERY Liberal jurisdictions). Everyone seems to have monster 4-wheel drives, even the inner-city people. So maybe it isn't just Conservatives that have cars?

PS Liberal Fairfax, VA voted down Metro funding for a line out to Dulles airport, go figure (their reason, they didn't want to pay higher tolls on the road that runs along the proposed Metro route)..

Well, I"m a conservative that generally takes the bus to work, to save on gas, parking and driving aggravation.

I firmly believe in alternative fuels, because I really think we shouldn't be buying oil from either the Middle East or Venezuela.

They were pro slavery and pro segregation too. They do not think global warming is real. What do you think? Follow the money.

Conservatives are not always Republicans, today this typically true however.
