The Royals will lose between 97 and 103 games this year. They havent done much to improve their team, and in the meanwhile the rest of the AL Central which is now the best division in baseball have all approved theirs., and that will make up almost half their games They have the weakest roster in the AL and their closest compeitor for the worst is Tampa, which has a lot of young talent just waiting to burst forth. If you are a KC fan, dont expect a Detroit Tiger miracle, just hope that you can rebuild and get some real young talent to be competitive in 3-4 years

The Royals will not lose 100 games this year! They wont be good, not even .500 but they wont lose 100 games again. Dayton Moore has made some underrated moves over in KC. They have Sweeney(even though injury prone), a very solid David Dejesus, a player who just keeps improving some how in Emil Brown, young 1B sensation Shealy who they stole from the Rockies, a very hot 3B in Mark Teahan (before his surgery he was playing like an all-star, not to mention the addition of the over paid Gil Meche. Meche wasnt worth the money but he is a solid starter. I didn't even mention the consistant 2B Grudzielanek(sp?). I think the Royals will definately show signs of life this season.

If the Royals could pay players money that they wanted then they would be one of the better teams in the league (at one point the Royals starting OF was Jermaine Dye, Johnny Damon, and Carlos Beltran!!!!!) but hey don't have money except for Gil Meche apparently 55 mil WOW, but they will lose 106 games this season, and in three years Alex Gordon will go to the Yankees for some $$$$$

Bring on Alex Gordon and Billy Butler!! Royals will be a .500 team this year IMO. Pitching is better, lineup will be improved with proven veterans and the young guys coming up. 80-82....4th place in the division. Chi, Min, and Cle will finich ahead of them, Detroit will fall back to their norm after a fluke year.

The Royals are much improved this year, but still have a long way to go to get to respectability. They probably won't lose 100 games this year, but then again, probably won't reach .500 either. l'd have to say their record will most likely end up at about what Pittsburgh ended last year 67 wins, 95 loses.

They say they're going to have a "winning team" this year. I don't believe it :P. I think its going to be about 93 or 95 loses. They got some hot prospects that kind of lowers the loses.

They should lose 158 because of that contract they gave Gil Meche, but I expect it will be closer to 98 this year. I'm excited to see what Alex Gordon can do.

i think by the 2010 season they will be able to be a .500 ball club and by 2012 get in the playoffs but they are starting to get better than they were in 2007 i think they will be able to win 65+ games
