First of all go to start, settings, control panel and see if there is a JAVA icon there. If there is go into it and make sure it is the latest version and it is switched on. If it is all okay there try going to start, run, and type MSCONFIG. when the box appears go to startup and ensure that the box next to JAVA is ticked. It may require a restart.

If you are using Internet Explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom Level.
Near the bottom of the list, look for "Scripting of Java applets" and check the radio button under it that reads, "Enable."
However, since YouTube uses Macromedia Flash, scroll up and check if you have "Run ActiveX controls and plugins" enabled, and if not, enable it.
If you are using Mozilla Firefox, go Tools>Options>Web Features,
then check "Enable Javascript," and then you can click on the Advanced button for more in-depth options.

Forget it. With a normal browser you'll always have problems. Do what I did recently. Download and install Mozilla Firefox browser. You'll find it on Google, and it's free. It is TONS better and doesn't rely on scripts etc so you never have a problem. Plus it's more secure as it isn't full of security holes like Microsofts browser
