You took an oath to love, honor and obey, you are not blood relatives but Yes you are related. Your wife now has the right to make decision for you if you can`t where your blood relatives can`t.

Just because your married that does n ot mean that their related to you. Not unless you know for a fact that your spouse is blood related to you and for me that would be wrong.

Yes. Just think if your partner has a sister, then you are related to her, she is your sister in law. Mother in law, Father in law etc. If you complete forms and are asked for next of kin you provide spouses details.
