Did you hit a bump in the road just before the truck died? There is a fuel cut off switch in the rear. It is designed to cut the fuel pump off in the event of a collision, but sometimes just hitting a bump will set it off. There should be a reset switch in the rear of the truck. Try hitting that, and see if the truck will start again.

It had better not be a timing chain (I have 200,000 on mine and it runs fine). This is a newer vehicle than I usually see, but check for water inside the distributer cap - it only takes a little bit)
If you have a timing BELT and 50,000+ miles that could be the problem - in which case its best to get a mechanic

Hard to say. but I can say that if it started back up it isn't the timing chain/belt. Probably getting time for a tune up or something got wet

Bugs, i hate bugs, dead bugs specifically, for some reason I'm way more frightened of a dead bug than a live one that could crawl toward and bite me, but oh well, just an irrational fear i picked up from my mom.

I don't think it's timing , probably the fuel filter has cloged , or if you're the UNlucky type the fuel pump (inside the fuel tank).
