There is a code that you were supposed enter into the radio when it was new. If you did not do that or you bought it used, you can pull the radio out & get the numbers off of the tag & call your local dealer to get the unlock code.

Take it to a dealer. They will charge you,but not much. The dealer has to get a number from your radio. Then they will call GM to get the unlock code for your radio. It is really not a big deal!
