If the tax rate is 14%, you multiply 89.99 X 1.14 (1+ the decimal for the percentage)= 102.59. You have to figure out what the total tax percentage is for your area (GST + local taxes, etc.). If you look on receipts for other things that you've bought, you should be able to figure this out.

Seeing as this question is in AUSTRALIAN / NZ TAXES,
I assume that you are either asking about Australian GST or NZ equivalent. NZ GST =12.5% Aus=10%.
So in New Zealand you would be looking at $101.238 [10.24] or in Aus you are looking at $98.989 [98.99].

UM to figure that out we need the tax rate. lets say the tax rate is 7% you would multiply .07x89.99= 6.30. then you add the two together. your answer 96.29.
