A fever is a good thing, not a bad thing. It is the body's way of trying to kill germs.
For every degree your temperature rises the immune cells double at 99.6 you have double the white blood cells, macrophages, t cells and other cells that eats and destroy pathogen and germs that are causing or trying to cause illness, At 100.6 it is four times as many..at 101.6 it is eight times as many at 102.6 it is 16 times as many at 103.6 it is 32 times as many and at 104.6 your child's immune system is going 674 times as strong and this is helping your child get better. You do not want to suppress it, but at 104 0r 105, you should start getting concerned and try to bring it down..
Most people do not know this. I used to sponge my child with rubbing alcohol and then immediately cover him to prevent chill before I knew fever was a good thing and the body's miraculous way of working.

It depends on how your child is acting, if he or she is lethargic or just generally malaised (sleepy and laying around), then it is bad. If he or she is acting normal or O.K., it's not much to worry about.
You can try a regimen of both Tylenol and Motrin; this almost always cuts the fever quickly. Be sure to not give any other medications as many of them contain acetominophen, which is the main ingredient in Tylenol. An overdose of this medication will hurt a child's liver.

I'm thinking you dont speak the English to well so let me tell you. By "regimen" She means take a dose of Tylenol and if that doesnt help in a few hours then take Motrin. The child should drink plenty of fluids and if it goes above 103F call his Dr.
