I was recently caught shoplifting and am a LPN. I was given a misdemeanor and paid the fines that all. I am wondering if i will lose my nursing liscense or my job if they find out??? any help is greatly appreciated

Not absolutely sure, but if it were a felony then maybe you would really have a concern, being a misdemeanor may not be so bad. Were you stealing bandages and ointment?

This is a very bad position to be in, my wife is a nurse. The industry action towards this problem will be very hard on you. Make sure that the information is disclosed to a prospective employer before you take a job and always make sure that you have started a job before you leave the old job.

This may be hard on you for two week, but better this than to find yourself unemployed because you left one job and the new one change their mind.

it depends what you were shoplifting
if it was something big and $$ it is a good chance you could get a waring
if this is the first time you shouldnt get fired
dont worry but dont do it again

If your licensure board has a "moral turpitude" rule, you very well could.

I THINK YOU WOULD LOOSE YOUR JOB. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT LICENSE.
