There is actually a seperate country within Moldova called Transneistra, and the capital of this area is called Tiraspol.

It's a little confusing, but the two largest concentrations of population centers in the country are Chisinau which is the capital of Moldova, and Tiraspol, which is the capital of Transneistra.

But these two areas don't make up the majority of the population.

Moldova is a poor country where the majority of the economy is agriculture.

The majority of the population still live in the outlaying villages and towns spread out throughout the country working their small farms.
