There isn't much you can do about your basic bone structure. You're 14... by the time the proper amount of tissue coveres those hips, you'll be the envy of all your friends with some killer curves.

If tight skirts don't look good, don't wear them. I see a lot of girls wearing knee-length skirts with a lot of flair. Try a couple different styles on, see what looks best ON YOU. Something may be all in fashion, but if it looks bad on you, it looks bad and you shouldn't wear it.

One suggestion- if something (jeans for example) is so tight that it causes what looks like fat rolls, go up a size or 2- just to see what it looks like. I'm a size 8 (5'3", 125 lb) and one time I tried on a size 4- BAD!!!! I know I'm not fat, either, but in a size 4, I looked all kinds of pudgy! I may try on a 6, but I'll never even try on a 4 again (unless I've lost 20 pounds!)!

I'm short, and there are certain styles that make me look 12 (I'm 30+) so I avoid those styles... unless I'm trying to look (VERY) young... like in a stage production... or Haloween.... or some other costume-required event.

Find clothes that flatter your form and let your hips worry about themselves.
