How do you earn money in Harvest Moon Ds?

i think the easiest way to earn money is to go to vesta's farm and buy some turnip seeds(the seeds are pretty cheap) then bring them back to your farm and plant them. If your new to harvest moon then all you have to do to plant seeds is use your hoe to make little squares in the ground, throw your seeds, and then water. after a few days your turnips will be ready, and than you just hit A next to them to harvest them. then you bring all of them over to your shipment box and ship them, then when the mayor comes to collect you will rank in the cash.(i used turnips as an example of course and you will have to plant different seeds in different seasons.)
p.s. sorry if i bored you with a total walk through but i'm not sure if you're new to harvest moon or not :)

Ship objects by placing them in the shipping bin or selling them to Van. Get shipments to the shipping bin before 5 pm daily except holidays and you will make $. You can also sell certain objects to Van who is in Inner Inn on days ending in 3 or 8.
