Well, to be honest, I'd choose cross-country skiing. You can go to the mall any time, but but the opportunity to go skiing only happens every so often. If you really want to do something with both of them, you can ask to invite your other friend along--maybe they will get to be great friends.

Or tell your friend (the one who wants to go to the mall) that you will be busy on that day, and ask if you can go to the mall some other time. That way, she'll know you really want to hang out with her, and that you have other plans. Pick what appeals to you; you shouldn't have to bend to other people's decisions.

You don`t say if these two friends are both girls and you are a guys or vice versus. If they are both girls and you are a girl then why don`t you see if you can introduce them and you all do the same thing. If you are a guy and you have two girl friends as long as they are only friends then try to get them together and do something with both together. But I have a feeling that you are two timing them and don`t want to tell. In that case you need to make up your mond as to which one mean to the to you.

Just try and balance your time. Next time if one asks to do something but you already have something planned with the other then say you cant. Vise versa. It shouldn't be a problem. You should be happy you have two friends who really like spending time with you.

Go skiing, better than shopping. Just say that.

who asked you first? i would go with them, if it was the one that asked you to go shopping for example see if it would be okay to invite the other along-or if she could meet you up for lunch. i couldn't see why someone would object to making another friend. that way you spend time with the both of them or ask the one who asked you to go second if they would be free the next weekend. be honest, soso asked me to go to the mall and i totally forgot could we hang out next week or wanna meet us up for lunch?

There's no reason you can't introduce one friend to the other. Then maybe you guys could hang out together.
