A product is something that occurs from a reaction.
The reactant is what cause that product to form.
e.x. BaSO4+2OH-=H2O+BaSO2
H20 is the product. OH, is the reactant

a product is the result of the mixing of two or more substances, while a reactant is one of the substances used to create a product.
an example with numbers:
1+2=3
1 and 2 are the reactants, and 3 is the product.
