What does a serpent know about fruit anyway? Only iguanas know about forbidden fruit! My iguana eats mango, papaya, avocados, bananas and so forth!!!!!

That sounds like animal abuse who ever said they took an iguana home each week. I'd sue that school.

The serpent didn't neccessarily subsist on the fruit, it just offered it to Eve. I belive it was a snake. It was a selfish animal wasn't it? Keeping the good stuff (mice and bugs and whatever else snakes eat) for itself!
You mention your iguana eats avocados. In case you ever get a bird for a pet, please do not feed it avocados, they are poisonous to large parrots and the like. Someone gave their African Grey a bite of sandwich and the bird died almost right away. It was the avocados in the sandwich that did it. I don't know if it's poisonous for other animals, but I think all animal lovers should know this, and learn if there are any foods that can kill their pet. Same with chocolate being bad for dogs.

No, the Serpent is merely a metaphor for Satan. The Iguana has nothing to do with it, although I adore them, along with Chuckwallas. The serpent embodies knowledge of the world, which Adam, and Eve were ignorant of. Satan offered Eve the "fruit of knowledge", from which she ate, and discovered that she, and Adam were naked. This is a story of disregard for God's word, and the consequences of disobedience.

I had an iguana named Cucumber when I was 5. His tail dropped off and it freaked me out! He belonged to the nursery school and all the kids took him home for a week each. I wonder how long iguanas live? My dear Cucumber, are you still out there, somewhere, an old bearded man?

no, the snake in the garden of Eden was a dragon, in the bible it's says it had wings and legs, now add wings and legs to a snake and you get a dragon.

No, it was a dragon. I know, you'll say that dragons aren't real. But if you want reality, why are you reading a bible?
