Do it, man. No matter what you pick - be it dancing, biking or underwater basket weaving - somebody will find a way to make fun of you. You can't live your life by working around stupid people's opinions.
As a dancer, I can tell you that older you get the harder it is to pick it up. Do it now, don't wait.

In the words of Nike "Just do it." I personally think its so hot when a guys knows how to dance. Why does anyone have to know that your taking dancing lessons? Find a dance studio that's like in your nearest town, tell people your taking a class or hanging out with a new friend. Everybody doesn't have to know your business. And if others find out who cares, by then you'll be dancing so good, they'll be the ones left behind.
Remember in life you'll always regret the things that you didn't do over the things that you did do.
And everything that you do, even the bad stuff shapes you into the person you are today.

Do it. The girls won't make fun of you, they will be dancing in your arms. Then maybe the guys will stop laughing. By the time you get to college, the girls will be impressed that you can dance, and the guys won't be so stupid about it.
You might want to pick a "manly" dance for now though, like swing, salsa, hip-hop, etc. It could be tough to do some ballet or jazz or modern. But if that's what you want, go for it.

What makes you think everyone will make fun of you? What makes you think anyone will even care? If you take dance classes, you will be with people who want to dance, and they certainly aren't going to make fun of you. Waiting won't improve your skills. Find out about classes, and start now. Why deny yourself the pleasure?

well alot of guys take dance i have took dance for 12 years now and i have met alot of guys that have took dance and still do and just because you take dance does not mean you are gay or anything like that cause one of my best guy friends is a dancer.. but this year he finally quit because everyone was giving him a hard time going into high school and still being a dancer.. but if you really want to dance i think you should!!

If you're not embarrassed by your spelling, you certainly should have no qualms about dancing. You don't mention your age, but I'm guessing you are nearing the age of dating girls. Point out to your buddies that guys dancing is attractive to the girls. If you don't get defensive, they may rib you a little, but they'll soon leave you alone.

I think its sexy when a guy can dance.....and who cares what other people think!! Do you know some football players take ballet to help them with balance and flexibility??? Also it will make strong and thin girls LOVE that!!! My boyfreind dances its awesome i go and see him performe all the time!!

do it! here were I live everybody only thinks about hip hop dances... they can't think that there r other cool styles of dancing.. but I started to dance "solo latino"... but only one person in the beggining laughed a lil.. & others who knows where I'm dancing say that's really cool.. but they won't go there lool.. so I think that people where u live will understand u.. of course in the beggining they can tease u.. but later they will understand that's really cool :D

take my advice..........if dance is somthing you want to do then do it if anyone makes fun of you they are probrably jealous that your so cofortable with yourself
