An at home remedy is to mix some sea salt and wamr water. Not table salt, but sea salt. Use a q-tip to clean around the holes and also clean inside youe belly button as there can be bacteria in there that could infect it.

2 things that are very good that you will have at home are either
Cup of hot water with a few pinches of salt disolved in - apply to belly button with cotton buds so not to touch it and this acts as a natural cleaner will really help infection.
Or
Tea tree oil diluted in water applied to infected belly button again with cotton bud.
Dont put a plaster on it as it needs to breath. Try to use slight preasure to stop the bleeding.

you did it yourself? you have a high possibility of developing infection, i would put ice on the area to stop the bleeding, do not put neosporin it will heal too quickly and close your piercing around the jewelry, sea salt or epsom salts dissolved in water is good to clean the area, do it a few times a day

apply pressure to stop the bleeding.
Then clean it with bactine and antibacterial soap (dial) only use the unscented kind once the bleeding stops you can also use sea salt dissolved in water
dont use alcohol, peroxide, or neosporin they can all make it worse

I pierced my belly button on my own,and luckily it didn't get infected,You should definitely try dabbing a bit of alcohol on it though.Put some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and gently rub it on the effected area.
~hope this helps~ :]

You clean it with DIAL soap. And you know it is infected because after it stops bleeding it is red.

a nice hot shower and wash it out with just your regular body soap, but it really shouldn't be bleeding unless you did it yourself. if you did it yourself, it's probably infected.
