Wash them in cool water and don't put them in the dryer. Hang them to dry. The dryer is the part that shrinks the clothes the most.

It all depends on what material they are. If they a cotton knit...Cold Water if they are cotton ....you can use warm to cold not real hot. But most of the shrinking comes from drying not washing. So if you can wash the shirts in question, and then hang them up that should do it..

You are most likely washing them in hot water. I imagine the shirts are cotton because those shrink alot. Use the coldest water possible and lay to dry or hang do not dry in dryer. Heat causes it to dry. Good Luck!!

Wash on gentle with Woolite in cold water..Make sure you check the tag to see if its a"dry clean only".If it is then that's exactly what I would do..Dry the item a few minutes to get the wrinkles out and hang up damp...( you will cut your ironing in half by this) and it could also stretch out the material for you....

I just buy stuff slightly large to allow for shrinkage.
But to answer your question, cold water and most importantly, dry on a delicate or cool setting, which takes a long time.
