If so can you tell me why someone would call asking about a package they were to deliver to me?

I was unable to take the call and it showed up about an hour later with no explanation of the call and nothing obvious with the package.

What protocol would you be following if you were to be calling someone?

Karma.

Sounds very strange. A Letter Carrier would not call unless there was a problem with a delivery such as a questionable address label or an extremely heavy package. Perhaps the person was just verifying that the item was indeed supposed to go to you. The caller certainly should have been less mysterious.

This means the package was misdelivered to the wrong address. This just happened to us. What a pain! They do this to cover thier butts and confirm you are where you are. Aks them. No big deal.
