This i am afraid this is due to every mans Id or self belief. while wanting to be seen by the opposite sex or partner as gentile and giving. The term nice man brings connotations of just like a brother and what a Friend. and all men find this rubs against the masculinity / sexually desirable gene. that can be devastating.
so all you ladies please be careful a mans ego is more fragile than glass and what in women speak is a complement is a sledgehammer to men its a mars Venus thing

Because nice is not a complement. We derive from hunters. Hunters weren't nice. They were hard. Nice could be a term of derision for men not derived from hunters but from the retard members of the family kept in the back of the cave. Like Tom Cruise, he's probably nice. Or Matt Damon, hang on he's not nice or hard. Maybe he's a woman then

Because it simply takes account of the basics ... how you look, speak, what you do ...... and it may suggest that the man is average, nothing special but simply 'nice', i.e. it is a muted way to describe someone without apparent warts. I wouldn't say it is bad to be described thus and I wouldn't object. However, the terms 'lovely' or 'wonderful' seem to hit the spot so much better!

Because it signifies the end of any interest in us.
If a woman says I am a nice man it means she is not going to sleep with me...if a man says I am a nice man it means he isn't worried about me sleeping with his wife!!!!
Being a 'nice' man is the death of being an exciting, roguish, filthy, disreputable man. Now seriously...who would want that??????

Guess it makes us feel like we're not rough enough around the edges, or got that bad boy charm that keeps people wondering "what's he really like?" Maybe its from the old phrase that nice lads finish last or something like that. Then again i suppose it's better than being called "cute"!!

Because traditionally 'nice man' is the equivalent of 'she has a nice personality'...
Or in another way of putting it its the equivalent of 'lets be friends or I like you as a friend'...
In other words - not interested, you're not getting laid with me...
At least that's what I've seen over the years.

its girl for gay brother who you would never kiss, form a relatiosnip anmd see like some sort of dickless cartoon character with no emotions, feeling sor needs who you dont respect.
As opposed to somone with feelings and needs and just like all the guys you date.
Ie you girls like having somone like this you can discuss your boyfriends with but not let him have girlfriends.
Also a pushover and saying hes a nice sweet mummies boy.
Now somone may be nice but thats how girls treat them
