I did my first marriage. My second marriage, I didn't want a diamond. I got a 27 by 37 oil painting of us by an artist we liked.

I never got engaged before getting married, so didn't have a ring - I really don't wear rings much anyway.
I did have an engagement ring which used to belong to my grandmother, which was a very pretty art deco style, but some low-life broke into my house last summer and stole it and some other irreplaceable items from my jewellery box.

I did, a 1ct Diamond in a Tiffany setting with 8 diamonds on both sides of the large diamond

I didn't. We couldn't afford it and it's not important anyway. Our marriage has outlasted plenty where a big rock was presented.
