we are always self conscious and
its hard to deal with.
but remember everyone is self conscious.
even the pretty anorexic looking girls.

ok first off why are all you kids that have the "perfect" body sitting here and calling yourself "fat". you don't need to be a size 0 or 00 to look good in a bathing suit.if you really FEEL fat the best thing to do is watch your snacks! are you just eating junk that you get your hands on all day and are you doing anything to tone up your body? here's a suggestion. try eating a lil healthier and also do some crunches before you go to bed. start off the first night with a couple hundred and gradually move up to a thousand and stay there. crunches are kind of like a sit up except you don't go all the way up and you hold for a couple of seconds. also try some leg lifts. now at first you will feel a lil sore but eentually you will get a nice flat tummy and maybe even a lil six pack! what you need to do is get a couple of pictures taken of yourself, don't look at them right away and within a month have a look and i bet you won't see yourself as being fat at all.

You didnt say if u were active. Try walking for 30 minutes a day. Start gradually and build up the time. Try to find some low fat snacks that u like. I know vegetables and fruits are not usually on a teens diet, but they really save on the calories. Have you snacks but cut back on how many you have at one sitting. Exercise is the key. Stay active. There are a lot of flattering bathing suits besides bikinis. Play on your other good qualities

STAY AWAY FROM DIETS!! When you diet-- you lose weight for a little while- but most of the time it comes back- you would also stand a good chance of slowing down your metabolism. You are not fat-even though you may think you are- (I thought the same at your age) I did the diet thing & starving myself to stay slim- I had no one to teach me about the "health" part of it. I damaged my metabolism severely!! I struggle with weight now- I learned you have to focus on being healthy- eat the appropriate foods (food is fuel for your body-- not something we do when we are bored) Exercise-- very crucial- for weight as well as the heart!! DO NOT focus on the weight!! Focus on the health!! Some people will never be toothpick thin- and most of those that are- do not look healthy! You are young- it is important that you do NOT damage your metabolism! Eat your fruits & veggies!! and lean meats! Stay away from the junk foods. That & exercise are all you can do. Don't make the mistakes I made- I am 43 & struggling to get the extra off!! All due to me not eating right-so I could "look" thin.. (I was never fat!!!) Now I have to make myself eat to lose! Please concentrate on being healthy-

You are NOT fat at 130 pounds and 5'4", you are inside the normal weight range. You may well fill out a bikini in ways that the skinny girls will envy. Also remember, that there are guys out there that prefer a female with curves!!!!!! Accept your body and have fun at the beach.

darling i feel so sorry for you at your age you really should not be under so much pressure with worring about your wieght so much. try cutting out the snacks if you really must eat between meals try snacking on a piece of fruit or a health food bar . do go do your execise , swim walk , dance. but a good bloke will love you for you not your size as you get older.

At 5'4" and 130 pounds, you are definitely not fat. You didn't mention what level of exercise that you regularly do. It just sounds as if you should tone up. Try crunches, lunges, windmills, etc. to tighten up your body. But if you are trying to be anexoric model thin, i strongly advise against it!

*rolls eyes* your not fat.. 5'4 and 130 is not fat. Its not fat or not skinny. Its perfect. I'm 4'11 and I'd love to be 130 and I'm far from being 130. You don't want to be too skinny thats gross.
