1. Biden and his clean black comment on Obama
2. Biden and his comment on Indians and 7-11
3. Kerry when he said that our troops are stupid.
Why do they say things that later are said mean something else? How come they cannot say what they mean directly?
Or is it that they actually are saying what they mean?

Alex reminds me that when Democrats apologize, it is always the person who heard what they said as the ones who misinterpreted it. Never that they should not have said it.

Republicans and conservatives are the group that supports personal and individual responsibility
It would require Biden and Kerry to actually take responsibility to admit when they were wrong
They wont because they are not Republicans or conservatives

well... it all goes back to... do people make mistakes when they talk...
and the answer is yes... they do...
and being surrounded by reporters a lot, everyone in politics will eventually will mess up... most just hope it won't have a "possible double meaning" when they do mess up...
now "what is a mistake" and "what is not a mistake" is clearly up to interpretation...
now, both parties love to take these mistakes, when they are made by the opposing party, and run with them like a kid with a kite in a windstorm... aka Trent Lott I believe it was...
but I try to take people at their word if they say they made a mistake...
