I just found out my 16-year old friend is being raped by her father. After talking to her about it for a while, she told me her father is a cop in the city she lives in, so how can she report it to the police if her father IS the police?
Please help, this has to stop NOW. Who can she report it to???

OK this is important for evidence,,,, when raped don't take a shower! go straight to the hospital so they can do a exam in her privates (looking for sperm, hair, etc for DNA) also when raped the virginal walls look different then when consented sex..... the doctor will call the police,,,,she should tell the truth and they will take her away from her father (a cop that breaks the law is still a criminal)...................hopefully you guys don't wait until this happens again and call child protection, she is underage they will protect her. look for a 1-800 number in the phone book......even if she doesn't call you can!!!!! but make sure she tells the truth

Littlelala is right! If it happens again, do not take a shower. Go directly to the hospital. There are also other agencies like the U.S. Marshall's office. They love putting the pressure on local law enforcement if the local law enforcement is not doing their job. Our system stinks, but it is the best one on earth today. There are checks and balances. There are too many family members in our country who are abusing their children. Another suggestion is to go to another town and report it there.
