Sure, but I guess it wasn't all that shocking. But I can imagine it can be...either because the person had no "gay" qualities or the person being told wasn't ready to hear something like that. It's OK to be weirded out, uncomfortable, or even upset. But please try to stay this person's friend. Do it by asking lots of questions and being honest about your feelings. You can help each other out...you by supporting your friend and him/her by helping you to understand it. And by the way, your friend isn't gay. Your friend is bisexual...if they were gay, they would just like the same sex!

i am a guy and have had many gay friends both male and female and it didnt affect me at all. the only thing was guys had a no intimate touching rule. i never said it aloud but they had enough respect for me not to try. other than that i treated them no different. it doesnt matter if they are gay or straight they are still your friend and need you as much as you need them. if it ever becomes a problem just look at them and say "its just (their name) my best friend in the world" hope that helps.

I have two gay male friends. I fricking love it. But if you're a teenager, and your 'bi' friend is a chick. She's probably just curious, and wanting to experiment. Or it could just be for male attention.

yea i was a bit freaked out, cause we had slept in the same bed a time or two. But she knew i wasn't like that, so it was fine. Just except her for who she is, she is still the same friend she was before she likes different things you do!

Bi and gay are two different things. I would look at them as a person. Sexual preference dosen't make the person.

yeah and it didnt change my view on my friend. i supported her with her decision because its her choice not yours. and you shouldnt just judge her on her sexuality its not like she was going out with u and said "i think im bi" shes a friend support her and dont let other people pick on her especially if she is a really good friend
