In a way yes you're right. King Edward built castles to make sure the Welsh were kept in check. After conquering it he made it part of England rule and therefore came under the jurisdiction of England.

England and Wales are separate kingdoms when treated under the concept of UK. However, in the olden days, Wales was part of England which was never revoked according to historians. Thus, Wales is considered part of England.

Your argument is full of holes. I'm not bothered whether Wales drops into the Atlantic or they gain independence. Its just your statement/ question that got me by the sheep's thingy.(The roundy ones, that is)
Consider, If I rob a Jewellers and then after getting the stuff home, I proceed to write receipts for them. Is that legal? "Bill passed by King Henry viii......."

yes and as a welsh man i know, as do most welsh people. we are under english laws and the bank of england provides our currency. however i believe the creation of the welsh assembly diluted the above law and when wales gets its own 'Scottish style' Parliament with law making powers the law would be absolute and succeeded. for example, the law that any english man may shoot (with a bow and arrow) a welsh man found within the city walls of Chester has never been revoked, however the law against murder succeeds it.
