What an awful experience. I am sorry.

Start with the AMA at: http://www.ama-assn.org/ama/pub/category/2509.html There is also a list of state by state boards on that page; choose yours and go from there. You can also check the states here - http://www.ama-assn.org/ama/pub/category/13365.html Also draft a detailed letter outlining every aspect of the visit in a straightforward manner and send it to the hospital's administrator(s) where he is privileged.

You can also go online and spread the word, so to speak, about him at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/EndoDocs.

If I were you, I would also send a letter to the doctor himself once all the other official reports have been made. Include case reports and journal literature about Endo persisting after hysterectomy (which of course it does) and how Endo is not associated with rape or childhood trauma and abuse, nor is the pain of Endometriosis in one's head.

I would also send copies of everything to the insurance copies he is contracted with, just for good measure.

See a true specialist who has compassion for Endo patients and the skills to help them; visit http://www.centerforendo.com, http://www.endometriosistreatment.org, and http://www.endoexcision.com for examples. She doesn't have to suffer and you don't have to be subjected to such unprofessional, incompetent, unethical behavior from an idiot who doesn't know how to treat women, let alone Endo.

Good luck to you both.

Tell your wife that every guy whose ever had a prostrate exam has felt violated. Some examinations are uncomfortable and that's exactly what a lawyer will tell you. The doctor was a jerk, but there's probably not much you could do except make a complaint with the College of Physcians that overseas doctors. If he gets enough of those complaints, they might investigate him. If he did indead "Ram" his hand, there will be bruising. Take pictures and then you have a solid case and go to a lawyer.

Call the Better Business Bureau..you should be able to find the number in your local phone book...they can give you ideas as to who to call and what your options are. Also call your states attorney generals office..they can advise you of your rights and steps you should take. Calling either or both should get you started in the right direction. Good luck. And I am so sorry for your wife's bad experience.

Contact your county or state medical board and file a complaint. There may be others that have filed a complaint and another one may be the one that gets attention. If nobody complains, this jerk will continue to have the bedside manner of a jackass!!!!

Find out what hospital this doctor is affilliated with, then see if you could speak to the president of the hospial. If that doesnt work, try asking the hospital, human resources department, they should be able to let you know.
