Back in my days if I disrespect my parents, I will get spank. In todays if they disrespect their parnets then nothing happens.

There are a number of reasons. One big one is that this culture has made disrespect for all people the norm.
Also, we always did try out a questioning of our parents beliefs and motives during puberty because we were seeking to sort out if our parents beliefs and motives were ones that we were going to adopt ourselves. But today there is a disconnect about how parents respond to this questioning. If they aren't available physically or emotionally for the teens or they handle this period poorly the kids will never learn how to respect other people.

I am a teen myself and if i were to do anything llike that i would be in worlds of trouble take it from me this is why:
They disrespect their parents because their parents haven't taught them respect....... If you lay down a strict but open relationship with your children to where yall can talk but they know the limits then everything will be alright.... STOP TRYING TO BE A TEENAGER YOURSELF grow up let them know you're the adult and they're a child...

That's not true at all. Spanking now days is abuse. Yeah I know when my mom was younger it was ok for parents to spank their kids and not get in trouble for it. Now days instead of parents spanking they ground them or just take things away. So don't ask my parents don't do nothing because my mom does. She grounds me but that's it and after that I learn my lesson because I hate not being able to hang out with friends, go online, or talk on the phone.

In other chapters disobedience to parents too is mentioned right next to Shirk/kufr. So both are indeed most evil sins. 36. You answered your own question. Parents today lack the discipline that is needed to raise a respectful child. Today's kids have things way too easy and their parents let them get away with murder!

parents don't spend time with their children to teach them respect,honesty or truthfulness!!all most parents care about are their careers!!!also many parents have to work 2 shifts to make ends meet so children are left alone to raise theirselves!!!we work so we can buy them things and put them through college when maybe all they needed was....us!!!
