I'm looking for a good moisturizer but I have a combination of oily/ dry skin on my face. So, I don't really want to clog my pores. I'm just wondering if anyone knows if these terms are the same. There are a lot of "oil-free" moisturizers, but are they really "Non-comedogenic"?

If they are the same, that means "oil-free" can clog your pores, right? Then why are manufacturers telling us this? It's just confusing. I mean, what's significant about it being "oil-free" if it's going to clog your pores?

"Non-comedogenic" means it won't clog your pores, and "oil-free" means there is no oil in the ingredients. Usually oil-free products are non-comedogenic as well. I always look for "oil-free" products because the oil is usually what will clog your pores.

use the non-comedogenic stuff...it wont clog pores, and they are usually oil free too.Look at the bottle and it will say "won't clog pores" but if it doesnt say non-comedogenic, than it probably isn't. they aren't the same, but they're closely related. hope i helped!

Information is essentially the same as data - it is a collection of facts. It contains everything that is known about a topic, but on its own is not terribly useful. Edit: Neither of these on their own is Wisdom, which would be a third category. Wisdom is the retained knowledge and decision-making skills to use what is known and apply it to making choices in a context. E.g. A senior manager knows the what financial results imply for the company in the near future because he has studied previous reports, market publications, business admin theory, etc. A poker player folds his hand because he sees his opponent glancing repeatedly at the glass on the table (information) and interprets it as the one of his opponent's 'tells' (knowledge).

No, oil free means they are water-based, not oil based and non-comedongenic means they won't clog pores.
