Female singer/cello player?

Question

In December 2005, I went to a show at the Gingko Coffeehouse on Snelling in St. Paul, MN. I saw a young woman who played the cello and sang. She strapped the cello to her body so she could sing more easily, and alternated between strumming the cello and plucking it like a bass. I don't remember her name. I think she might be based on the East Coast, but I can't remember.

Any ideas as to who this is?
