I was going on my friends roof and instead the window closed on my big toe. I think because my foot was already numb from the snow outside it didn't hurt as bad as it could have, but I new it was broken. It is swollen and purple and I can't bend it, what should I do? And by the way I hurt myself a lot so my parents will never believe me or take me to get an x-ray.

Tape the broken toe to the toe next to it with some medical tape (if you don't have this, masking tape works just as well.). Keep it clean and change the tape daily. If you go to the doctor, this is all they will do for you! You should let your parents know that you hurt yourself though, most parents would want to know.

It depends "how" broke it is. If the bone is sticking out of the skin, you need to go to the E.R. now. If there's a tear in the skin, you need to keep that area clean & dry. Maybe a little Neosporin Plus. The one other thing you can do is to "tape" the broken toe to the toe next to it (put a little piece of guaze or something between them first). Also, take some Advil, Aleve, something that helps with inflamation.
Good Luck.

Yup, the people up above that said nothing could be done for a broken toe are right. Been there and done that. Tape it to the toe next to it and in time it will take care of its self.

There is absolutely nothing you can do. I broke my pinky toe once, the doc told me there was nothing that he could do either. Couldn't even put a finger brace on it. The only thing that you could possibly get are pain meds. Do you have x-tras at home from previous visits to the doc? If so, then you don't need to go to the doc. It just needs to heal on it's on.
Well, you could do RICE---Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate. I think that's how it goes..

Buddy tape your toe to the toe beside it for support.

If your parents won't help you, ask another adult. It has to be looked at by a doctor to see if it's broken.
