If you like it keep it is your face is your life and anyway when you get tired of it you would shave it so there is no problem.
Don't try to make everybody happy because you would never get it, so just try to be happy yourself!:)

Well do u want a beard? if u want to keep it then keep it... dont let ur friends judge u because of ur beard. A good Friend would allways support u even if u shaved all of ur hair...

I had a beard for almost 20 years, and all the while my parents both were very clear about how they wished "to-high-heaven" I'd shave it off. My friends and my girlfriends loved it. Of course, during that time I was on my own, so I didn't have to worry about any parental controls. Finally I cut it off, which brought tears of joy to my dad. But I cut if off ONLY because my new job in a State penitentiary REQUIRED that it be cut off, for my personal safety when among the prisoners, so, off it came. When I first grew it, I didn't care what anybody thought, or so I say. But I was attentive to people's reactions, most importantly my friends, and women I'd like to get close to. My parents' reaction I expected and grew used to, and they hardly EVER said a word about it. Maybe in all the 18 - 20 years I had it, they probably expressed their preference that I shave it off maybe 18 - 20 times, but it stayed. I must admit I was glad to give them the "prize", before my dad died, of seeing my face without a beard. My dad was so glad that he got out of his living room chair and shook my hand and with a big smile said, "Welcome home, son!" And I had never been far from home. And for my dad to smile that big, and get up out of his chair for me, considering he had lost his left leg in a tractor accident about 15 years earlier, was awesome to me. But he knew, years earlier, that his son was a man of his own mind, just as he so stringently raised me, and maybe he didn't like the beard, but he was damnn proud of my standing up for myself all those years. So, what should you do? Pay attention to your friends and make a decision based on what they say and what you want. You're not your mama's "little boy" anymore, I guess, so, make your way in your own world, and attending to your friends is a vital part of adult life, so see what "compromise" you and your friends can reach. God Bless you.

Shave the beard and every time you miss it you can place a mirror on your girls stomach and see how you would still look in one.

Shave it off, shave it all off. Other people opinion are usually the truth and your mom just might say that so you wont feel bad.

i would do what you think suits you best and what you like. it is on your face so you are either going to be really mad because you shaved it off or you are going to wish you had. if your friends don't like what you do i guess they are not your real friends......it is a part of life....everybody is learning how to be friends these days.

I say get rid of it. You might just not want to get rid of it because you are attached to it, and yeah, your mom might just be saying that to be nice.
