so i want to remove my cat. its a carb so i dont have to deal with computers. are there any benefits to removing it

it will run better with it on.it will be easier on gas,cause the valves will get hotter and burn up the gas quicker.

You do not have a cat converter on a 1968 Chevy 350 CID engine

what year of car is it ? you will still need to meet the emissions test for that year regardless of the engines year. if that is not an issue pull the thing and replace it with a straight run of pipe , the '68 motor will need hardened valve seats to survive on unleaded gas. good luck

You must have the only '68 with a Cat. on it.
So I would keep that thing museum original
